This is another cache on part the Water of Leith 'cache trail'
Katesmill is one of the many mills situated on the Water of
Leith. The river once powered water mills providing linen, flour,
paper and snuff. The remains of these can be seen in weirs and
buildings along the length of the river. The cache is next to
bridge that crosses the Water of Leith where you can get onto the
old railway line that runs all the way up balerno. GPS reception
can vary at location due to heavy tree so the clue will help.
The bridge and the path. the cache is close by...
This cache can be done during A Walk in the Dell cache (and also
Another Walk in the Dell!)
and it is very close to Dryad and Sluice gate.
It is a regular sized cache with the usual load of random, useless
things in it.
It is very important that you put the cache back as you
found it, because if it is at all uncovered, it will be seen from
the path. There are usually quite a lot of muggles so I advise you
to get someone to keep watch for any muggles coming while the other
cacher retrieves the cache.
Good luck and Enjoy!
