No topo da montanha, na Serra do Açor, junto à passagem que permite o acesso à estrada que leva os viajantes até à aldeia do Piódão, existiu em tempos uma casa. A casa que servia de abrigo aos viajantes que vinham da aldeia, e aqui se abrigavam antes de prosseguir as suas viagens por estre estas serras.
Várias lendas existem que relatam a passagem de grandes viajantes, que partiram e por aqui deixaram histórias das suas passagens por estas Serras, com grandes subidas pelas enormes encostas, ao longo de pequenos carreiros, caminhando dias afim, sem avistar outras almas.
Com o passar dos tempos a velha casa, que antes servia de albergue, desapareceu, e agora só resta uma referência…
