This cache is a little distance away from the Church due to the close proximaty of another cache.Please take time to walk to the Church and also explore this lovely village.Although it is possible to park 1 car close to GZ,the lane is quite narrow so please take care when retrieving the cache.
St John’s is a daughter church of St Martins Parish Church. Before it was built, people wanting to worship God in the Church of England would have to walk all the way to St Martins. It used to be called the Lodge Church. St John’s is a fine example of early Victorian church architecture and unlike most churches of its period, has remained largely unaltered since its consecration in 1873.
