Geocache Description:

'Mother Cty' Meander Series

We thought to offer visitors and locals alike, a few caches at historical sites within an easy walking tour or alternatively a bus tour.

This is not a Multi- cache. Each cache stands alone.

The Hop On – Hop Off Red City Bus Tour stops near all the mentioned buildings. This is stop 5 part 2 - walking

Get away from the hustle and bustle of city life by strolling through the company Gardens.
The gardens were established by Jan van Riebeeck in 1652 to provision passing ships with fresh fruit and vegetables, plants and herbal medicinal plants.
Since publishing this cache some time ago, we have recently met the new horticulturist who has now designed a working veggie garden as it was in the 1650's.
There is also a pamphlet for a self guided walk available at the Heritage office.
Let the kids enjoy the new play area right near the restaurant.
The Gardens are so very colourful on Saturdays with many families strolling along watching the numerous wedding photos being taken on fine days
