Some caches stay for years and some come and go. I have replaced this one five times now. I have also changed the location a bit for this hide. Be cool and use stealth as the area at times can be extremely busy, also the Harbor Master might be watching from the windows of his perch at the upper floor.
Just pretend that you are just standing there, leaning on the rail and enjoying the wonderful view.
This cache is located at Schoonmaker Point, one of the few (man made) white sand beaches in Sausalito. The parking area is posted for permit only parking but there are also a few visitor parking locations.
This location has wonderful views of the harbor, of adjacent harbors and of the Bay. The area at times is filled with people and with activity. There is a kayak facility near by that both rents kayaks and provides lessons and at times the beach can be quite crowded. There is also an extreme possibility of muggles all around the area, on the docks, on the beach and in adjacent boats but with stealth the cache can be easily reached.
