Abort! Abort! II Traditional Geocache

Another aborted mission... this was not exactly a 'series' I was planning on, but ultimately it's about having fun. Like many Namadgi caches this location is rather challenging fun but the day should still be enjoyable. When you are no longer having fun then you should reconsider your options.

The mission had been to get to Mt Burbidge. Despite poor weather in the lead up to our planned day the forecast made it do-able but my last venture up this particular valley for an attempt on Mt Kelly had ended in a turn-around and resulted in the birth of Abort! Abort! So with less-than-stirling weather on the radar I had jokingly stated to the team, "Well - worst-case scenario is I place 'Abort! Abort! II'. Little did I suspect that this would actually be the case!

With that in mind as I rambled about the house at 4am getting ready for our long day I did pick up a spare sistema. Did my actions jinx the day? I'm not convinced....in the end we found a great location with terrific views down the valley, some very cachey granite outcroppings, and yes - had some fun. Hopefully you will too.
