Walkways have been restored {sponsored by Ocean Earth}. 12 meter swells plundered beaches and many homes in March 2007. The new wooden promenade, with large expansive decks lined with benches, spans much of Ballito's main beaches and allows strollers, runners and casual passers by to walk from the souhtern beach areas close to the boathouse, all the way north to Willard beach.
Park at co-ordts given below. High muggle area, extreme stealth! Enjoy fisherman waiting for a bite on the rocks. Veer-ini-hoed (Barbara Oberholzer) suffered from Lymphoma Cancer for many years and had passed away in 2011. Barbara did not allow life to get the better of her. Phenomenal lady with the spirit of an angel. Barbra was introduced to geocaching by Fanie and Annette Heymans, she then decided to place a geocache on every circle in Welkom before her live ends, and what an amazing job she has done! The caches were adopted by me in 2014. May the mark that Barbara left en”circle” us for years to come.
