It's time for the second annual event Autumn - A Cacher's Best Friend. Last year brought 13 geocachers together. Let's double that this time around.
This year the weekend of the first day of fall (September 22) has extra special meaning in the Quad Cities - it's the weekend we're hosting Hike & Seek (GC7JAM0). A geocaching committee of about 10 of the Quad Cities' most dedicated cachers are organizing a great weekend for your enjoyment.
Every geocacher loves fall, right? Leaves drop. Colors change. Thorns hibernate. And weeds waste away. No ticks. No leafy poison ivy. No more muggy, humid days. I can finally go after those remaining wilderness hides without picking hundreds of pesky burrs off me for hours on end afterward.
Well, let's celebrate this upcoming holiday [and get pumped for H&S] with food & friendly conversation over a campfire at the Pauls. We'll provide the food. BYO drinks & a chair.
Date: Friday, September 14
Time: 7 - 10
Address: 1870 Deer Springs Circle, Bettendorf
Please give 24 hours notice if you plan on attending.
