Cardinal Flyer was a loving soul and had a great impact on NW Geocachers. He was a good friend to those who were a good friend to him. He loved his family dearly and named all of his geocaches after his granddaughter Caitlyn. He enjoyed using obscure terms that you had to Google. If you have ever geocached in the Northern Idaho/Eastern Washinghton area, chances are that you have found at least one Caitlyn cache.
Cardinal Flyer considered Rathdrumid to be a friend, and talked about him fondly. Rathdrumid was a kind man and was always respectful whenever I spoke to him. Although I didn't know him as well as I knew Cardinal Flyer, I enjoyed seeing Rathdrumid's logs and consider myself fortunate to have had the opportunity to know him.
It has been five months since Cardinal Flyer got his wings, and his family is ready to re-enter the Geocaching Realm. Therefore, it is time to have this memorial event. In planning this event, I asked Rathdrumid's wife, Idahorfd, if it was ok to include Rathdrumid in this memorial and was happy that she consented. 
This is NOT to be a sad memorial, but rather a celebration of two lives that have touched our hearts!

Event Details:
Morning Meet and Greet: 9:00-9:30 am at Q'emiln Park in Post Falls, Id.
Note: There are some parking along the street outside the park, but parking in the parking lot may cost a fee of $3.50 per car. (Sometimes they charge, sometimes they don't.)
** Here I will give directions and answer questions about the day of geocaching, ending BBQ, and future plans for Cardinal Flyer's active Geocaches. This will be a Cache Machine type of thing, except instead of a route, we will just be finding Cardinal Flyer and Rathdrumid geocaches. Mini Cache Machine: 9:30 am - 5:00 pm
** As soon as you have signed the log and are ready to hit the roads geocaching, you may leave. People can go their separate ways or geocache in groups. This will be your last chance to find Cardinal Flyer's 234 active geocaches while they are still officially active and owned by Cardinal Flyer. **
Potluck BBQ/Happy Memory Sharing: 5:00 - 7:00ish pm at Poke'Frog's House in Coeur d'Alene, Id.

** At 5:00 pm, we will have a potluck style BBQ at our house. This is when you will have the opportunity to share your happy memories of Larry and George with their families. Please try to keep it light hearted as this event is a celebration of their lives! **
Food Details: Poke'Frog and Team Nimrod will provide bottled water, hamburgers with all the fixins', chicken kabobs with red potatoes and veggies, and freshly baked apple pie. (Baked by Poke'Frog) Everything else will be potluck style, so if you want something to go along with the main dish, please bring it. In your log, please note how many will be coming in your party and what you will be bringing.
Please bring your camp chairs ~ seats and table spaces will be limited! This event is an all day event, but you do not need to stay all day and attend all festivities to log an attend.
