Follow the signs for Queest Mountain Snowmobile trails. Travel 6km up the well maintained gravel road. Turn left and go just over 1km to the old hang glider launch.
Enjoy amazing view over Eagle River, Sicamous Narrows, Shuswap Lake and Mara Lake.
Apparently this location was discontinued because hang-gliders were crossing the Trans-Canada Highway and causing too much of a distraction to motorists. When hang gliders applied for a permit to update the structure they were denied due to liability reasons.
I came across this location while quading. I will come back in the winter with a snowmobile and try to make it a winter friendly cache.
