Geocache Description:

24 June 2021, 10:00 - 12:00

Coyote Point Yacht Club

1820 Coyote Point Dr.
San Mateo, CA 94401

Thursday  ~  June 24, 2021, 10 am-12:00 pm

I've never been to a CITO here, so maybe this is the 1st one.  Coordinates bring you to the meet-up area in the parking lot near the Yacht Club.

The parking fee is waived for participants in the CITO!  If there is a Ranger on duty, mention you are here to volunteer.

From their website on 6/10/2021:

"When visiting San Mateo County Parks, please follow California State COVID-19 safety guidelinesUnvaccinated: Face coverings required outdoors when 6-ft of distance can’t be maintained. Vaccinated: Face coverings not required outdoors unless attending a crowded outdoor event."

I am coordinating this CITO with San Mateo County Parks and they will provide buckets and grabbers, for your picking-up pleasure.

Everyone will need to sign a Volunteer agreement and COVID waiver. Available on their website here

or

https://parks.smcgov.org/sites/parks.smcgov.org/files/documents/files/SMCParks-Volunteer-Agreement-COVID19.pdf

The City of San Mateo has the Bay Trail levees closed at each end of the Park and the Old Beach Area is closed as the promenade is completely refurbished.  So, the actual clean-up will be along the Shoreline Trail.

Any recyclables that we collect will be placed to a recycling bin and the other trash will be bagged and placed in a dumpster in the park.

Come on by to say "Hi," give back to the community and sign the event log. There are lots of caches around here, too!

Looking forward to seeing you at my first ever CITO!
