resqsarge03: The underwater platform this cache was on has collapsed and the container is missing. I took this cache over from its original owner when they moved but I no longer geocache and I cannot maintain this one. This is a good location and was well loved when it was active. I encourage someone else to replicate it and start it again. Joe

Geocache Description:

This is an underwater cache that requires the use of SCUBA, hence the terrain rating

FTF prize WAS a wet $20 bill!!!!
The FTF prize is in the orange matchstick container

This cache is located at Devils Fork State Park. You will need to park at the non motorized boat ramp (Scuba ramp) Cost for parking is $2 per person unless you have a SC State Park annual pass.

You will need someone in scuba gear to retrieve the container but we will allow non divers to claim the find on this cache. If you can find a diver to retrieve the container, you can have them bring it to the surface for you to sign the log. If you are not the one to retrieve the container, we would love to see a photo of you with the cache container but it is not a requirement. The diver will need to return the cache to its location and place it back as they found it.

To find the cache go down the boat ramp on the left and locate the guide rope to the first platform. You will be looking for a large white tube with a screw off lid and inside is a water bottle with a water proof log and pencil. There are also Geocoins that have not been activated, for the finders. Please take only one coin per person until they are all gone. Feel free to place coins or other small items in the container but be aware they will probably not move very quickly due to the need for scuba gear to retrieve this cache. Also please be aware that any items left in the container will get extremely wet. Please place the container back exactly as you found it for others to enjoy. This cache was originally placed by RedwingGreg&Deb. It was transferred to Resqsarge03 in 2016.
