Amersham Town Council have asked for volunteers to support them in two litter picking sessions over the weekend. The second session is being held today in Old Amersham.

Warm and sensible clothing.
Any trackables that you wish to move on or be discovered by others.
Litter Picks and plastic bags will be provided at the starting point. You may wish to bring thick gloves.
Parking:
The closest car parks are listed in the waypoints. Parking charges may apply. Please check the noticeboards when you arrive. You may be lucky to find onstreet car parking.
Public Transport (Trains):
Amersham Underground and National Rail Station is a 15-20minute walk away. Amersham Underground Station is on the Metropolitan Line, whilst National Rail links Amersham to London Marylebone, Harrow-On-The-Hill, Moor Park, Rickmansworth, Chorleywood, Chalfont & Latimer, Great Missenden, Wendover, Stoke Mandeville and Aylesbury. There is a taxi rank at the train station, and should cost roughly £3-4 each way. Alternatively, board the 1/1a bus opposite Tesco Express (buses head towards High Wycombe).
Public Transport (Buses):
Carousel Buses operate the Number 1/1a bus, serving High Wycombe, Hazlemere, Holmer Green, Chesham Bois, Chesham, Lye Green, Bovingdon and Hemel Hempstead. Alight the bus at Tesco Petrol Station in the Old Town. Buses, however, are not frequent and operate hourly. Arriva Bus Company do not operate on a Sunday.
Carousel Buses do not operate th 103 or 105 bus routes that serve other neighbouring towns and villages.
Public Facilities:
There are free public toilets in Dovecot Car Park.
There are a few pubs, hotels and restaurants in the Old Town who provide hot and cold food, snacks and drinks.
