Der Eisack (ital.: Isarco) ist der zweitgrößte Fluss Südtirols. Er entspringt am Brenner in einer Höhe von 1.990 m und mündet nach ca. 96 km etwas südlich von Bozen in die Etsch. Das Einzugsgebiet des Flusses beträgt etwa 4.200 km². Der Eisack fließt zunächst durch das südliche Wipptal und ab Vahrn durch das Eisacktal, dem er auch den Namen gegeben hat.
Wichtige Ortschaften entlang des Eisacks sind Sterzing, Brixen, Klausen, Waidbruck und Blumau. Der größte Zufluss ist die Rienz, mit der sich der Eisack in Brixen vereinigt; weitere bedeutende Zuflüsse sind die Talfer aus dem Sarntal, der Ridnauner Bach, Pflerscher Bach, Pfitscher Bach, Villnößer Bach, Grödner Bach, Braibach (auch Tierser Bach genannt) und der Eggentaler Bach.
Wichtig ist der Eisack auch für die Stromerzeugung: Bei Franzensfeste, bei Klausen und bei Waidbruck wird der Fluss hierfür gestaut und teilweise abgeleitet. Außerdem wird am Oberlauf des Eisack bis zum Stausee Franzensfeste Rafting betrieben.

The Eisack (Italian Isarco) is the second largest river in South Tyrol. It rises on the burner at a height of 1,990 m and flows for about 96 km just south of Bolzano, the Adige river. Il Isarco (italiano Isarco) è il secondo fiume più grande del Sud Tirolo. Sorge sul fuoco ad una altezza di 1.990 m. e scorre per circa 96 km a sud di Bolzano, il fiume Adige. Il bacino idrografico del fiume è di circa 4.200 km quadrati. Il Isarco inizialmente passa attraverso il sud della Wipptal e da Varna dalla Valle Isarco, dove ha anche dato il suo nome.
Importante città lungo l'Isarco sono Vipiteno, Bressanone, Chiusa, Ponte Gardena e Prato Isarco. Il maggiore affluente è la Rienza con le quali uniti nel Isarco Bressanone, un altro affluenti principali sono il Talvera da Sarentino, la Ridnauner Bach, Bach Pflerscher, Pfitscher Bach, Bach Funes, Gardena Bach, Braibach (anche Tires Bach), e il fiume Ega .
Importanza del Isarco è per la generazione di energia elettrica: in Fortezza, nei pressi di Chiusa e Ponte Gardena è arginato il fiume per questo e in parte derivate. Inoltre, il corso superiore del serbatoio è in funzione fino al rafting Isarco Fortezza.
