Geocache Description:

The cache is temporarily not at the posted coordinates, (please see updates below for new cache location) however, this is a Challenge cache, and you must satisfy the requirements for this cache before logging this find.

Congratulations to PDXJim for FTF!!!

The difficulty/terrain rating is for an estimate of what you had to do to find the caches you need to qualify for this challenge. The actual cache rating is a 1/1.5 or 1/2 depending on the weather and ground conditions. You can park at the Hillsboro Fairgrounds/MAX parking lot and it's just a short walk to the final.

As you probably guessed by the title, this is a 4x100 find challenge. There are many different types of geocaches out there waiting to be found.

1. Traditional Cache
2. Multi Cache
3. Unknown (Puzzle) Cache
4. Earthcache
5. Virtual Cache
6. Webcam Cache
7. Letterbox Hybrid
8. Project APE Cache
9. Wherigo Cache
10. Groundspeak HQ

In order to log this cache, you must find at least 100 each of 3 of the above types of cache plus another 100 in any combination of the other 6 types listed above.

Note: Event caches (including CITO, Mega, Groundspeak Block Party, and any other type of event) and NGS Benchmarks DO NOT COUNT.

This challenge is to get you out to other than the 3 most common types of geocaches which many cachers probably haven't gone out and done many of. They are lots of fun and many give very interesting information or history of an area. Having a degree in the geological sciences, I personally enjoy doing earthcaches, and also enjoy the virtual caches.

If you're not sure if you qualify, you can go into your public profile and click on the tab "geocaches" and it will tell you how many you've found for each geocache type. You don't need to email me ahead of time, I will check your profiles upon your logging a find.

Happy caching!!

UPDATE 6/14/11: There might be times when an event is being held at that field or at the fairgrounds which may make the cache temporarily unaccessible and security might be present.

UPDATE 08/31/2012: Cache is at a new location, to get to location, subtract .075 from the north coordinates and add .331 to the west coordinates. Hint will be updated for the new location.
