Geocache Description:

This cache is part of my Aston Amble series, a linear walk of 5 caches from Hope Station to Twitchill Farm, near the top of Win Hill. It is possible to do a circuit by incorporating the first 3 of the caches in my 'Twitchill' series, which would result in a walk 3 miles and approximately 2 hours long, depending on finding speed.

Suitable footwear will be required for the walk as parts can get very muddy at times. The walk includes: steep tracks (grass and tarmac), cattlegrids, rocky and wet ground and roads, so please be careful.

Please remember to replace all the caches as found and take time to replace them securely and well hidden, especially with 3, 4 and 5. Please remember to always put something appropriate (no food or dangerous items please) back in the cache once you have taken something. None of the caches are in walls so please don't look in any. Stealth shouldn't be required except when around properties and the station - don't act suspiciously!!!

We hope you enjoy the walk!

Hope cement works, Derbyshire, which is the largest cement works in the UK, was built by GTEarle in 1929.  170 ready-mix concrete plants;  Production at Hope Cement works in its first year of trading under its new ownership (to 2014) was over 1.3 million tonnes of cement per year.

When G & T Earle opened Earle's Cement works in 1929 it was linked to the Hope Valley Line by a 2 mi (3.2 km) single track railway, which was worked by steam until 1963. Most of the cement now travels over it to Earle's Sidings, where it is taken over by a freight train operator.

The cache is a nano, and you need TOTT to retrieve! You must sign the log to claim as found.

You might think the views around here are spoilt by the factory, but actually without all these quarries then where would they get the stone from to build pretty cottages?

Please replace exactly as found, watch for muggles as it is a popular path.

Logging Etiquette: Geocache hiders sometimes go through a great deal of planning to place their caches. As a result, they'd like to hear your feedback on whether you liked or disliked any aspect of the hide, or if you feel that some cache maintenance is required. Single word, acronym, or emoticon logs may be easier when you have a lot of caches to log, but it doesn't tell the hider or other finders anything about your adventure (or lack thereof) in finding the cache. Please keep this in mind when entering your log.
