Über den Hauptbahnhof Stuttgart
Der Stuttgarter Hauptbahnhof ist der bedeutendste Bahnhof der baden-württembergischen Landeshauptstadt Stuttgart und gehört mit täglich 1280 Zughalten und insgesamt 255.000 Besuchern pro Tag zu den meistfrequentierten Fernbahnhöfen der Deutschen Bahn. Zudem ist er Hauptknoten der S-Bahn Stuttgart und wichtigster Knotenpunkt der Stadtbahn. Wegen des charakteristischen Uhrturms mit dem Mercedes-Stern besitzt der Hauptbahnhof einen hohen Wiedererkennungswert und gilt als eines der Wahrzeichen Stuttgarts.
Im Rahmen des Projekts Stuttgart 21 wird der Kopfbahnhof mit 16 Bahnsteiggleisen durch einen überdeckelten Durchgangsbahnhof in Tieflage mit unterirdischen Zulaufstrecken ersetzt. Neben dem Bahnhofsgebäude mit dem Uhrturm entsteht eine neue Bahnhofshalle, die bisherigen Bahnanlagen sollen nach erfolgter Entwidmung zurückgebaut werden.

Dieser Cache gehört zur beliebten SideTracked-Serie, die in England am 10. August 2007 am Bahnhof von Evesham begann. Er ist nicht dazu gedacht, einen an einen magischen Ort mit einer tollen Aussicht zu führen. Er dient als Ablenkung und schneller Fund für Reisende, aber auch jeder andere kann ihn loggen. Logbedingung
Mache ein Foto von dir oder einem persönlichen Gegenstand (z. B. TB, Stofftier, etc.) an den Gleisen des Regional-/Fernverkehrs, im Bereich der S-Bahnen oder am Bahnsteig der Stadtbahnen. Wichtig ist, dass zusätzlich dein Geocacher-Name auf dem Foto zu sehen ist und dass man eindeutig erkennt, dass du dich am Stuttgarter Hauptbahnhof befindest. Das Foto muss mit dem Online-Log hochgeladen werden.

About Stuttgart Main Station
Stuttgart Main Station is the most important railway station in Stuttgart, the capital of Baden-Württemberg, and is one of the busiest long-distance stations of Deutsche Bahn, with 1280 train stops and a total of 255,000 visitors per day. It is also the main hub of the Stuttgart S-Bahn and the most important junction of the city railway. Due to the characteristic clock tower with the Mercedes star, the main station has a high recognition value and is considered one of Stuttgart's landmarks.
As part of the Stuttgart 21 project, the terminus station with 16 platform tracks is being replaced by a covered through station in a low-lying position with underground access tracks. A new station concourse is being built next to the station building with the clock tower; the previous railway facilities are to be dismantled once the station has been de-commissioned.

This cache belongs to the popular SideTracked series, which started in England at Evesham station on August 10th 2007. It is not designed to take you to a magical place with a breathtaking view. Log requirement
Take a photo of yourself or a personal object (e.g. TB, stuffed animal, etc.) on the tracks of the regional/long-distance trains, in the area of the suburban trains (S-Bahn) or on the platform of the city trains (Stadtbahn). It is important that additionally your GC username is visible on the photo, too and that it is clearly recognizable that you are at Stuttgart Central Station. The photo must be uploaded with the online log.
Note: All logs that do not meet this simple requirement will be deleted without comment.
