This cache is one of a series based around the Fife Stop Line, a second world war ani-invasion defensive structure built in 1940/41, see cache GC11H67 for more details.
Dragons teeth are angular concrete pillars set into the ground to prevent the advancement of tanks. A long line of such pillars were built on Collessie Hill to deny the enemy the high ground overlooking the stop line. Unfortunately the pillars are located behind several electric fences so this cache is instead located from where the best view of them is to be had.
When at the cache site look east to a place about 500 metres from the road where there is an oval patch of rough ground covered in gorse. Look at the the line of "stones" that follows the top edge of this patch because these are actually concrete anti tank obstructions. I have been driving past these for years and never noticed them.
The military planners wanted to keep an invading force down in the valley while they held the high ground behind the teeth. Just one more place designed to kill.
