Please only take one TB per visit. A little bushwacking is
required, but not too much. Bring your good waterproof boots as you
may need to cross a stream. A few of you might think that there is
a better route to the cache, but those other routes might be via
private property. As far as additional hints, I was getting
accuracy of about 60 feet and the actual hiding was done by my 11
year old. Reception was very spotty, due to the tree cover. We
passed all the obvious hiding spots and placed it where you might
not think to look for a cache. Also, it is on the bigger side of
the ammo can family. You can also try these coords as a back
up...N. 47° 38.304 W. 117° 28.295. These are from my GPSr and the
official coords are from my sons GPSr. We were only about 10 feet
apart. Good luck.
When I adopted this cache my intention was to keep it as
original as possible. I feel a cache should always have the most
accurate coordinates possible so I have updated the coordinates
with some I averaged using my 60CSx, which I believe are very close
(much better than the alternate ones mentioned in the original
text).
Here are some other tips that may help you have an enjoyable
hunt:
Start your hunt from the Corey Glen parking area. This will put
you less than 500' from the cache. The road is open mid-week until
3PM during the Spring, Summer and Fall. If the road is closed, park
at the main Finch parking and walk up to Corey Glen (it's a very
pleasant hike of about 1/2 mile through the Arboretum).
From Corey Glen follow your GPS staying on trails and staying
generally to the left. Don't enter the brush and stream until the
last possible spot.
