Geocache Description:

THE CACHE IS NOT LOCATED AT THE POSTED COORDINATES. The posted coordinates will take you to the Siler City Police Department, which has a major link to Aunt Bee, but does NOT have the bonus container.

To find the final for this mystery cache,  you will need to complete the Adventure Lab "High Speed Chases, Cobs/Robbers, Horror & Aunt Bee" that is located in Ramseur & Siler City, NC.  At the end of each of the 5 stages you will get numbers that will help you solve for the final location of this bonus cache.  If you missed any after completion, the numbers will be located in your journal.

The cache difficulty reflects the difficulty to get the final coordinates, not the hide. The terrain reflects the hide.

Below you will find additional information about the 3 movies & Aunt Bee. The information  is NOT necessary to solving the puzzle, but does give you a broader perspective of the events.

The movie is not suitable to be seen by young children. It is rated PG and is described as being similar to "Bonnie and Clyde". There is a lot of violence in it.

Killers Three is a motion picture crime drama produced in 1968 by Dick Clark Productions and released by American International Pictures. It was written for the screen by Dick Clark and Michael Fisher.

The soundtrack-album featured country singers Merle Haggard, Bonnie Owens, Kay Adams, and Jack Clement. Haggard sings his own compositions including "Mama Tried". Merle Haggard also appears as a sheriff.

THE PLOT: Johnny Ward (Robert Walker, Jr.) returns to the squalor of his backwoods North Carolina home at the end of World War II and marries his sweetheart, Carol Harmon (Diana Varsi), the mother of his 5-year-old son, J.J. Johnny decides to rob his employer, a bootlegger, of $250,000 kept in a safe. To implement his plan, he enlists the aid of an Army buddy, Roger (Dick Clark), who had demolition experience during the war, and they plan to rob the safe on the day of the town picnic, disabling the cars at the picnic to avoid pursuit.

Lots more happening, but don't want to give away the middle and ending. So to summarize it: What follows is high speed chases and gunfire as the three head to California.

FILMING : Portions of the 1968 film Killers Three were shot in Ramseur and Coleridge areas, and many locals were cast as extras.

Not sure which movie this film crew was filming, but you can see two people on
back left at door of store where robbery took place in Killers Three.

Children of the Corn II: The Final Sacrifice is the sequel to the 1984 movie Children of the Corn. The film was released in 1992 in Germany and in theaters in January 1993. Several sequels followed this movie, all but one of which were released directly to video.

THE PLOT - The plot involves Hemingford, Nebraska, a town near Gatlin (the original film's setting). The people of Hemingford decide to adopt the surviving children from Gatlin, intending to help them start new lives. Unfortunately for the well-meaning locals, the children go out to the cornfield where one of the cult members, Micah, is possessed by He Who Walks Behind The Rows, the demonic entity the cult worships. Caught in the middle are reporter John Garret and his son Danny, who have a troubled relationship. They travel to the mysterious town of Gaitlin, unaware of the murderous cult of children who are waiting in the cornfields.

FILMING: Film production began at the end of spring 1991, and shooting began in summer 1991 in Liberty, North Carolina. Most of the cast were locals, including the children.

In the movie, a house was set up to move away from the town.  A lady chased a cat under it and children drop house on her. In real life, not sure where the filming took place, but the house is now located on the outskirts of Ramseur, NC.

The house was for sale in 2016. Hubby and I went by and looked at the outside. We could see signs of where someone was living there.  We left.  Hubby went later and did go inside and look.  The owner ended up being a brother of hubby's cousin's husband, so hubby called the owner and made an offer. The owner did not accept the offer.

The house did not sale and it is now off the market.  Here is a neat article entitled "Children of the Corn house!! Not for the faint of heart".  (Do a search on google search and watch it. Spooky!)

Two days later a news article was published about a fire at the house. Click FIRE

A disappointment room is a room, usually on the top floor of the house, where mentally disabled or mentally ill children were kept during the 1800-1900s to remain out of the public eye.

THE PLOT: Based on a true story, the plot follows Dana and David, who are looking for a fresh start with their 5-year-old son Jeremy when they move into their dream house, a beautiful old rural home, with a secret room hidden in the attic. When frightening and unexplainable events lead Dana to discover the long lost key to this room, she accidentally unlocks a host of unimaginable horrors revealing that the house’s past is terrifyingly tied with her own.

The film was scheduled to be released on September 25, 2015. But the film then started seeking a distributor after Relativity Media filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, and placed the film up for sale. Finally Relativity Media has released the film on March 25, 2016.

FILMING LOCATIONS: The production of the film began on September 8, 2014, in Greensboro, North Carolina. Filming in Ramseur took place around October 20th for two days. The film crew recreated places in the film using downtown buildings, including the old red building near Roller Mill Hill, Church on the Rock and the The Ramseur Community Museum.
