ENGLISH
The Archaeological Museum of Piraeus, contains mainly sculptures, discovered in Piraeus and in the area of the Attic coast from Bronze Age to Roman times
Many of the exhibits are in the yard, and you can see them even when the museum is closed. Of course outside the bars of the museum.
The Cache
The cache is a small magnetic round canister "bisson type" located outside of the museum.
It is not necessary to visit the museum to make log.
Containing logbook for name and date only.
Do not forget to bring a pen with you!
It also contains a small FTF present for the lucky geocacher who will find the cache first!
History
The old building of the museum (330 m2), which is currently used as a storage room, was built in 1935. The new two-store building, which was inaugurated in 1981, covers a total area of total 1.394 m2. Both buildings neighbour on the Zeas ancient classical theater. At the theater site there is an open-air sculpture exhibition.
Access
The museum is accessible with the Athens metro or bus lines. It is 15 minute walk from Piraeus station and a couple minute walk from bus station.
Moreover, it is a 5 minute walk from the area for the reception of Cruise ships of the Piraeus port.
There is also a tourist mini-train stop outside of the museum.
Open Hours:
Winter: From the 1st of November until the 31 of March: 8:30-15:00
Summer:From the 1st of April until the 31 of October: 09:00-16:00
Monday: closed

ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΑ
To Αρχαιολογικό Μουσείο Πειραιά, περιέχει κυρίως ευρήματα ανασκαφών από την περιοχή του Πειραιά και της Αττική ακτής, που καλύπτουν την περίοδο από τη μυκηναϊκή μέχρι και τη ρωμαϊκή εποχή.
Πολλά από τα εκθέματα βρίσκονται στο περίβολο του Μουσείου και μπορείτε να τα θαυμάσετε ακόμα κι όταν το μουσείο είναι κλειστό. Φυσικά έξω από την περίφραξη του μουσείου.
Η Κρύπτη
Η κρύπτη είναι ένα μικρό μαγνητικό κυλινδρικό δοχείο τοποθετημένο έξω από το μουσείο.
Δεν χρειάζεται να επισκεφθείτε το μουσείο για να κάνετε log,
Περιέχει log αρχείο για όνομα και ημερομηνία μόνο.
Μη ξεχάσετε να φέρετε τον στυλό σας.
Επίσης περιέχει ένα πολύ μικρό FTF δώρο.
Ιστορία
Το παλαιό κτήριο(350μ2) του μουσείο κτίστηκε το 1935 και χρησιμοποιείται σήμερα ως αποθήκη γλυπτών. Το καινούργιο διώροφο κτήριο εγκαινιάστηκε το 1991, καλύπτει συνολική έκταση 1394μ2.
Και τα δυο κτήρια γειτνιάζουν με το Αρχαίο Θέατρο της Ζέας στο χώρο του οποίου υπάρχει και μια υπαίθρια έκθεση αγαλμάτων και γλυπτών.
Πρόσβαση
Η πρόσβαση στο Μουσείο είναι δυνατή με πολλές γραμμές αστικών λεωφορείων, που ξεκινούν είτε από την Αθήνα είτε από το σταθμό ΗΣΑΠ Πειραιά, καθώς και με το τουριστικό τρενάκι του Πειραιά.
Είναι περίπου 15 λεπτά απόσταση με τα πόδια, από τον σταθμό του Ηλεκτρικού σιδηρόδρομου.
Επίσης είναι 5 λεπτά απόσταση, με τα πόδια, από το τερματικό σταθμό των Κρουαζιερόπλοιων.

Χειμερινό: Από 1η Νοεμβρίου έως 31 Μαρτίου: 08:30-15:00
Θερινό: Από 1η Απριλίου έως 31 Οκτωβρίου:09:00-16:00
Δευτέρα: κλειστά
