Tupperware box up a number of different walks & ways.
Its a fairly distant view to Roseberry Topping (NE of the cache site) however i wanted a different profile to the others in the series and i fancied putting a cache here whenever we have walked past given the number of walks and ways present.
The cache site, apart from views to Rosberry Topping (and across the moors) is on a number of long distant walks, though you dont need to do the whole walk !
Lyke Wake Walk : 40 Miles
Cleveland Way : 110 Miles
Alfred Wainwright's Coast to Coast : 190 Miles
European walking route E2 : 3031 Miles (4850 Km)
and given the meeting of the ways seemed a fair place for a cache.
The road to the parking can get narrow so please take care and if you are going to/from Swainby its a 1 in 5 hill (though you will be driving at this point!)
There is some parking at the bottom of the paths which gives the quickest route; alternatively enjoy a day next to the stream at Sheepwash; do the circular walk from Osmotherly which takes you to sheep wash and back round or bag it as you pass through on one of the walks.
Its quite a popular walking spot so watch out for muggles from the various directions.
There will be a bonus cache for this series so make a note of the number on the front of the logbook (c=). Cache itself is big enough for coins and reasonable size TBs containing the normal treasure, log book, pen and a FTF prize.
Its a good place to rest on the gate, relax and enjoy the view, or just in side the wall there is a bench to park yourself on.
No need to movve any stones its not in the wall.
Please dont use any stones in the hide, and watch out for muggles coming from one of the ways up !
