This Night time cache shows just how dark the sky in Northern
Arizona can be. Could be the reason several working Observitories
are operational in the area.
The coordinates listed will take you to the Campbell Mesa
recreation access. To get there take Country Club drive to the ball
fields and turn left onto Old Walnut Canyon Rd. it will bank right
and continue as a dirt road, the trailhead is just a short
distance. At the posted coordinates go through the gate and
continue on that road East. (Do not park in front of the gate as
there are occasionally authorized vehicles that use the road at any
time, day or night.)
When the trail goes off in several differnt directions look for
reflectors in the trees and follow them. These are special
reflectors they reflect directly back to the light
source. So remember to hold your flashlight at eye level. They are
very small but also very bright.

One reflector, pass this way; Two reflectors together, OK to go
off trail; Single red reflector, too far go back; Nothing, took
wrong fork ;)
