Geocache Description:

Logo Design by FlamingText.com

Harvey Firestone, the great American industrialist best known for the tires that bear his name, was born near the town of Columbiana, Ohio.
His father was a prosperous farmer whose farm was located approximately 2.3 miles east of Columbiana on State Route 14.
You can see the old homestead but it is not open to the public so only view it from the road! It is located at 40° 52.987 N 080° 38.551 W.
Harvey spent a lot of time, especially on camping trips, with his two friends Henry Ford and Thomas Edison.
Although Harvey’s boyhood house and barn are now located in the Greenfield Village Museum (Dearborn, Michigan) his memory is kept alive by the beautiful city park named in his honor and the new "Links at Firestone Farms" located on Papa Firestone’s farmland.
Harvey and some of the other Firestones are buried in the cemetery across the street from Firestone Park. You cannot miss the gravesites as they are marked by a Roman-style circle of columns.

To find this cache you will need to visit the historical marker at the first set of coordinates and then do some math to decipher the final coordinates.

Subtract 1814.513 from Harvey’s birth year to get the decimal minutes for the latitude. This value is "A".

The cache is at: 40° "A" N 080° 40.761 W

Caution: There is poison ivy in the area.

Also, this is an actively used park so be discreet! And as always, obey the rules of the park. Please no nightcrawling!
The container is an ammo can. HAPPY HUNTING! (This cache was placed with the permission of the park supervisor.)
