GIFF 2017 Rice Lake, WI Event Cache

I listened to a podcast and learned a little more history about GIFF. It started in 2013 and was only shown at the block party in 2013 &2014. 2015 the block party got rained out and that's when having many events featuring the GIFF films was started. So this year is the 3rd year for events showing GIFF films not just at the block party! I feel like it's a newbie like me! Also I know some asked what a tribute cache is- from what I can tell it's not technically a cache category because they don't want geocaching to become flooded with 'causes' they want it to be a fun, "get away from the stress of the real world" game.
That said, some people still are allowed to hide cached in tribute to the game such as Sunste's "700 for me" series is a tribute to his 700 finds. Or I've seen caches tributed to cachers such as "Mile 69: Zuma!, Rock Star"

Join us for the 2017 Geocaching International Film Festival!

We will enjoy the films together and also have a chance to meet and greet fellow cachers! This is my first time hosting an event so hopefully everything will go as planned!

This event will take place Saturday November 4th in the upstairs meeting room at Zen Den.

3:00- 3:30 pm meet and greet

3:30 - 4:30 film viewing

There will be chairs available but you are free to bring your own.

I plan on providing popcorn!

*Please note this space is upstairs and not wheelchair accessible
