Westcott is one of the 3 interesting villages near Dorking that begin with a W. This is the 3rd cache in the village of Westcott.
The real name for this cache should be "Celebrity marriages from hell?"
In the not too distant future .... a reality TV programme records one week of two celebrities living together as a married couple. Using the latest technology they are able to recreate clones of dead personalities to participate in the show. Viewers are asked to vote if this is a marriage made in heaven or in hell. In true reality TV style, some of the couples are not celebrities at all, although telling which contestants are not stars is not always easy.
The first series involved the following couples:-
Audrey Hepburn and Cary Grant
William Greene and Sonia Dove
Margaret Thatcher and Tony Blair
Anne Frank and Oskar Schindler
Stephen Fry and Jade Goody
Meg Ryan and Jimmy Cagney
Alfred Kinsey and Shere Hite
Jacques Cousteau and George Sand
Pete Doherty and Naomi Campbell
Eric Clapton and Jodie Foster
Each celebrity couple has some kind of connection; some couples have several links, and several (but not all) the couples have the same connection, a connection that might surprise you. To locate the cache you need to concentrate on the connection that is shared by several of the couples, and then use two of the couples in particular. Together, these two couples will lead you to a spot that is 0.034 minutes to the west and 0.050 minutes to the north of the micro.
The published coordinates are not for the cache but for some free car parking in the village.
