CAS Cache Traditional Geocache

This cache is an ammo box that our CAS Geocaching Class students loaded with lots of geo swag. The students picked this site being ever so mindful of the high water when the heavy rains flow through. So don't get stumped, look for your window of opportunity and you will find. AZ Lotto scratch ticket for the FTF!
This cache was placed by students of Sierra Vista's Center For Academic Success Geocaching Class. 18 students searched high and low for a great place to hide this one, assisted by the Four Wild Hares and Mr. Oh! (aka joxcomm).
Use the parking area on the North side of the highway across from the San Pedro House (N 31 33.045, W 110 08.558). The cache is .5 miles from the parking area and gate. Stay on the main trails heading towards the San Pedro River. You'll pass the streamflow gage station and continue along the river. Stay on the trail until your GPS says to head due west. From there you'll need to bushwack a little. Definitely NOT a cache for hikers in shorts. You'll want to wear jeans.
This area of the San Pedro River has lots of signs of beaver activity and the cache is located not too far from an active beaver lodge. So once you've found it, explore around the stream under the shade of the cottonwoods. Hope that luck is a lady for the first to find.
