Roman ages ruins - Hévíz
How strange to think about that our beloved of Balaton Lake once was exactly loved by the Romans as us. On the West-Balaton lake has particularly a large number of Roman relics and they certainly not provide the ruins of war aims, rather these was the space of the rest. So no wonder that high traces of the spa culture´s civilization also emerge in Hévíz. In part of the Egregy town recently comleted excavations. They found a stone building with cold, hot and lukewarm water spa with 1000 m^2 area from the first and second century.Since there were no archaeological trace of floor heating probably it is not a cottage but the recreation of "complex" was a part of the building´s group at their golden age.

Római kori romok - Hévíz
Milyen furcsa belegondolni, hogy a mi szeretett Balatonunkat egykoron a rómaiak is (sajátjukként) pont így szerethették… Nyugat-Balatonon különösen sok római kori emlék maradt fent, és bizony ezek a romok hajdan nem hadi célokat szolgáltak. Így nem is csoda, hogy a magas fürdőkultúrával rendelkező civilizáció nyomai Hévízen is előbukkannak. Az egregyi városrészben nemrég befejeződött ásatás például egy hideg, meleg és langyos fürdővel ellátott első, illetve második századi nagyméretű, 1000 négyzetméter alapterületű kőépületre akadt. Mivel a régészek nem akadtak padlófűtés nyomára valószínűleg nem villáról van szó, de annyi bizonyos, a rekreációt szolgáló „komplexum” egy épületcsoport meghatározó része volt fénykorában.
