Kinver was the name of my father, my hero. Everybody knew him as Kim.
He was a very outdoorsy man; a beekeeper and allotment owner who would have very much enjoyed the hobby of geocaching.
this is the bluebell wood where he spent many happy hours walking and exploring.
This cache was placed on the tenth anniversary of Kinver’s death. His ashes were scattered here 9 years ago and on date of posting I sowed some forget-me-not seeds (for obvious reasons) and some California poppy seeds (when I was a nipper he taught me how to take the “pixie hats” off.)
you are looking for something red, slightly off the pathway. Please do not attempt to tinker with the metal and replace any bark-camouflage so it is waterproofed for future finders.
I was in his old study this morning and found a pot of his old SOODs.
So, the cache, when placed, contained these trinkets plus logbook (see photo). Please take something you like and trade responsibly.
He wouldn’t want me to be mawkish but if you see some flowers near the cache, please mention so in the log.
Kim, never forgotten.
