In August of 2002 a group of cacher gathered at Three Creeks Metro Park on the South Side of Columbus to have a "Get To Know You" event. This group became known as the "Central Ohio Geocachers" or COG. It's never been formal and is really a group of people who have some idea about geocaching in the Columbus area. We have a web site and lots of events.
This cache, I am placing as an invitation to everyone who finds it to come meet the people in the neighborhood at an event or just online and as a shout out to all the cachers who have helped Central Ohio have such a strong base of caches and cachers. After all, it's Friendship Park.
There is a calendar of events on one of the signs. It looks like there will be a lot of music going on in this park this summer. Let us know if you see a show.
