From the boat ramp you can actually see this little island. Unfortunately that won't help much. It took me three attempts just to place the cache. Here is the wisdom I received.
First attempt - at full super high tide, I made a bee line out to cache. Looked at the little island, then realized the tide was dropping. So I followed the easy creek path out.
Second attempt - mid high tide, I got most of the way, but I got twisted and turned around, and couldn't find the last mini creek to the island.
Third attempt - 1 foot below high tide. Followed the creeks I was starting to memorize by all my attempts. I burst through to the island, secured the cache, took photos, and hopped back in the kayak. Mission complete!
The kayak run somewhat reminded me of the book and up coming movie The Maze Runner, thus the name.
Enjoy the pretty unspoiled Salt Marsh and the beautiful wild life.
