BoB: Take a Ride 'Under' the Atchison Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

cache_in_pocket: All aboard! Time to depart the area and leave room for a new geocache. This was a fun one when it originally went up, but sadly, it got demoted to an altoids tin after it somehow went missing. The cache was originally a matchstick container attached to the end of a retractable dog walking leash and then magnetically attached to the bottom side of the railway that was above the bike path. One would need a short pole with a hook on it to pull the cache down to access the log.

The replacement cache was again magnetic, but it was just placed in the metalwork on the path under the railway and has probably migrated from where I lost spied it and I just missed it as others did. Might still be nearby, so if anyone is thinking to use this exact spot, be cautious of the curse of the old cache container.

Geocache Description:

Beach or Bust

This is part of a continuing series of caches along the Aliso Creek Trail starting at Cook’s Corner and going all the way to the ocean. Aliso Creek rises in Cleveland National Forest and runs roughly south 13 miles to the ocean. The trail is paved and very popular in some sections, so please be aware of muggles zooming by.

This cache should not be difficult to find.

In case you were wondering, the cache title is remotely related to a Monopoly "Community Chest" card.
