An event cache that is part of the annual World Wide Flash Mob (WWFM) events for 2018. A flash mob is defined as a group of people who assemble suddenly, complete some activity, and promptly disperse again. We will be conducting such a flash mob at a busy intersection in the Toledo metro area, to amuse/perplex passersby. We will be "protesting" whatever minor thing you feel like making a sign for.
Serious protests often have a variety of signs to help deliver a point of protest in a catchy way. Every once in a while, you'll find a funny or amusing sign in the crowd, having nothing to with the actual protest. Our event will only be silly signs on the side of the road. We won't have any signage around current or past government figures, religious beliefs, political stances, et cetera- nothing that would be part of an actual protest. Anything else goes, but please use your discretion.
The event, per geocaching rules, will be 30 minutes long, but the actual protesting will be 15 minutes. We'll arrive at the parking coordinates at 1:00. Anyone who does not already have a sign will have a few minutes to make one (see below). At 1:15 we'll head to the posted coordinates and begin our 15-minute protest. If we have a large enough turnout, we will occupy multiple corners of the intersection. We'll reconvene near the parking at 1:30 for a group photo, and to quickly vote on who has the best sign. There will be a small prize for the best sign.
Anyone who posts a "Will Attend" before or on June 7th will be guaranteed one sheet of posterboard per account for a sign- if you want to make multiple signs or signs with more than just marker writing, please bring your own additional materials.
