Geocache Description:

Well marked, well maintained trail.

The Enchanted Forest is a 393 acre sanctuary of diverse eco-systems. They have recently re-opened after construction of their new facility. Before you search for this cache please visit their web site at www.eelbrevard.com and click on the Enchanted Forest link.
As you descend to this cache you will pass through 4 major eco-systems. 1st the upland forest, then the scrub system which is part of the ancient Atlantic Coastal Ridge which is said to be the dune of the ancient oceanic coast line, then you will pass into the Mesic (damp) region, and finally the Hydric (wet) region, dominated by ferns. If you choose to follow the Addison Canal out, you will see shear rock walls which appear to be 30 feet or more tall. An amazing site in Florida.
Jackrabbit & kids set the cache, but Brad (Brainee) The Sanctuary Steward suggested the location since he is very familiar with the Sanctuary. Thanks Brad.
