SQ - Watch Over Me, Linda Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

HTBob: I stopped by here the other day when the temps were below 20 degrees and the container was frozen in place ... just what I was afraid of. To be honest, this cache has given me lots of maintenance problems over the years, mostly due to curious and playful squirrels that like to play with the container and dislodge it and watch it fall to the ground. It is not usually a good thing when we try to "force" a cache into a location hoping that it works out. In the long run, they seldom do, so it is with heavy heart that I archive this cache, but, fortunately, I am working on an entirely new cache to place not far from here that would be a fun one for Linda to have been proud of. Thanks to all who found and also special thanks to those who have given it a favorite point. I hope you feel it is worthy of keeping it a favorite even though it is no longer in play. Now that the temps have risen, the container has been removed and all is well here. Stay tuned for a new cache in the near future that has the full consent and approval of the cemetery caretaker.

Geocache Description:

This cache is located close to my late wife, Linda’s, tombstone that contains some of her cremains in the Woodlawn Cemetery, south of Ada, Ohio on SR 235.
Bring your own pen to sign the log. If you don't sign the log, don't log it as found online.

This cache is named in memory of my late wife, Linda, who used to cache with me before her untimely death. Please be careful when finding the cache as it can be a high muggle area. As this is located in a cemetery, please observe all typical cemetery regulations. Permission was granted by the cemetery trustee, so please be respectful so that he doesn’t call me to have it removed.

The SQ in the cache name above signifies Spirit Quest, a project by the Northwest Ohio Geocachers to distinguish those caches that are set in cemeteries or memorial gardens. This cache is part of that series created by NWOGEO members to highlight cemeteries in the area. Please be respectful of the area, and observe their rules and posted hours which are typically sunrise to sunset. For more information, please visit:

If you don’t find it, please post a DNF log. That way I know people are looking, but not finding it. First to find are simply FTF bragging rights. BYOP.

Note: 10/21/12 Difficulty and Terrain bumped up each .5 due to feedback. I guess it is maybe a little harder to find than I had originally planned.

Info relating to the person this cache is memorialized for can be found at the Related Web Page above.

Congratulations to JeffPaul for FTF!!
