Kayak on Canning #8 Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Balayang: I am regretfully archiving this cache since unfortunately there has been no action to restore it, or any communication from the cache owner, %CO%, requesting additional time.

An ample opportunity has been provided for the Cache Owner to respond, but since this opportunity has been ignored, I can only conclude that the cache has been abandoned.

Caches archived under these circumstances are unable to be Unarchived, and this location is now available for the placement of a new cache, by somebody else.

Geocache Description:

With the second part of the Kayak on Canning series I invite fellow geocachers to jump on their kayaks again and have a paddle on the beautiful Canning River upstream from the Kent Street Weir. This section is about 4.5km long (one way), so allow yourself at least two hours to complete the series (with a fast surf ski and experienced paddler). There is no current (unless the weir is open) and the narrow river is well protected even in windy conditions.

The containers are attached to the hiding objects with a short fishing line in order to prevent them from going missing. All caches in this series are accessible while sitting on/in the kayak (even with longer kayaks as I was using a surf ski when hiding).

The cache is a camouflaged preform tube containing a waterproof log and a pencil.
