Narsarsuaq, Greenland has an arboretum!! This cache site is reached on foot up a small trail that begins near the hotel in Narsarsuaq, Greenland. During the months with no snow on the ground this cache is very easy to reach and find. With snow on the ground and depending on how much snow it could be hard to locate. Difficulty level has to do with reaching this beautiful country.
I've named this cache after the "Blue Spruce" ferry routes that WWII pilots flew with aircraft that had limited ranges. The routes would usually begin in Goose Bay, Newfoundland and head northeast towards Greenland, Iceland and then toward Scotland. The link I've attached provide more information about these aircraft ferry routes that are still in use today. The cache has a couple of trackables and other items in it with the usual writing tool and parchment. I dropped this cache off while I was delivering an aircraft from the USA to the Middle East. I'll check on the cache when I stop by on my way back westbound with another aircraft a few weeks after establishing this cache and then again on any future flights through this part of the world. Easy walk for any geocaching pilot passing through for fuel or to stay the night. It's an easy walk from the ramp to the trail near the hotel.
