After a few geocaching HQ emails mentioning February leap day, weekend souvenirs I thought lets host an event. My first one.
Come to this and log as attented and get a leap day souvenir. Log a cache as found the saturday, sunday or this monday and also get a souvenir.
I have booked the private back room of Boundary house. this is good for around 30 people. Come and put some faces to the names.
Good food and drink. room was free as long as money spent at the bar.
The closest cache to this place is my Shelley close one. For one night only will let you have without having to stand there in the cold (maybe) and dark working it out. Ask and will say. Will do the same with my MG magic cache. This can all be worked out at home but for one night only, will say where to go so you can get a find on the way to the event. http://coord.info/GC1TD61. This was car factories owners former home. A fact in the paper when blue plaque saying that was placed there. (hint, answer to one cache question is answered on the plaque photo I am sure was thought, who will spot this when putting photo on cache page).
Was thinking around 6pm to 8pm. I will get there by 5.45pm. As my cache suggests, only live up the road.
Mentioned an extra car park opposite way into our road, Pub has a big car park and from 6 to 8 early enough not to fill up.
Got this random email today (Tuesday 23rd). so someone trying to raise money for a north wales event. I will collect money for this. if we all put a few pounds in then will be something to give the north wales mega event organiser. no where near here, all a bit odd but lets run with it!. ☆☆☆ NATIONWIDE LEAP DAY FUNDRAISER ☆☆☆ On 29th February there are currently 145 events throughout the UK. If each of those events could raise at least £10, we would, in total, raise at least £1,450 for your North Wales 2016 UK Mega. Therefore, we would like to put a challenge to ALL event organizers of events on the 29th February to help us raise funds with a raffle, just pass around a collection tin or anything you can think of. Not all the email as going on about what to do with money, Not my mega event but will try and get the required £10, if we get £20 then not bad.
