This is the tale of a Viking warrior who lived hundreds of years ago.
His name was Erik. He came to the Island with his brave band of men on his ship called the Golden Dragon. They had left Norway in search of the land where the sun goes at night, and after an amazing journey landed here.
You may have already found some of his stories, so may know what to expect, this trail is the saga of his original landing and search. To complete this quest you will need strength, endurance, cunning and quick wit. Having arrived at this land under the cloak of Mannanan and not being able to see where they were, Erik landed most of his men near this location and left behind one man, Half-dan, on a lofty perch over looking his ship guarded by a chosen few. Erik and his party headed off up the cliff in search of a natural bay to land his ship.
