Geocache Description:

This trail of 18 caches replaces the now archived Lank Thistle series and is just over 4 miles long. Link caches are placed to shorten the distance if you need to and there are a few existing caches on the route.

You may be lucky enough to see the herd of Exmoor ponies which have free range over much of the heath. You will be crossing stock fencing via kissing gates at points on the walk so please be warned that you will have to lift buggies and bikes. Please follow notices re keeping dogs on leads in some areas.

The walk follows various way-marked trails which are marked on the map on #1 where you will also find parking information. Most caches are close to a path.

The hides are varied in size and difficulty and you will need to bring tweezers and a pen. We do hope you will enjoy this new series.

The caches have been placed by kind permission of Suffolk Wildlife Trust. For more information on the reserve please visit http://www.suffolkwildlifetrust.org/knettishallheath.
