Geocache Description:

Good sized box convenient to the San Jose Airport cell phone waiting area.

Many times I have wanted a decent sized cache to deposit travelers that was near the airport and that I thought would be secure. Hopefully this cache will fill that desire. This was a locked ammo box chained to the base of a bush. However, the can was beaten mangled, forced open, locks and chains cut and eventually the cache was removed and the hiding spot destroyed. This cache no longer locks which seemed to encourage people to try to destroy the container to gain access without opening the lock. Many cachers apparently do not understand how an ammo box works, or how to operate a dial style combination pad lock which prompted most of the past maintenance requests. This is now camouflaged and hidden in plain sight type of hide without a lock. It should be very obvious to cachers, but I hope will attract less muggle attention than the locked box. Neither the difficulty or terrain is really as difficult as it is rated, but it is at the center of the bush/tree so the finder must deal with the branches, leaves, and bugs. There is parking very close to this cache. The new tree is a small oak tree, so I hope it gets left alone. The area is beyond where the regular landscapers tend. You will be in view of muggles and you will appear out of place during your entire visit so some stealth would be suggested. Fortunately, only the muggles in the parked cars closest to the cache will likely have any interest in what you are doing.
