John F Dooley was a Livonia City Councilman from 1962-1966, and passed-away in March 1974.
He was an attorney, father of five boys, and active in forming a local Swim Club.
The park is marked by a large stone which was part of a larger sculpture that was on display at the Detroit Institute of Arts. Â
