A CTIO underground MAX NUMBERS HAS NOW BEEN REACHED.
A CITO with a difference, this will be a morning picking up rubbish and scrubbing modern graffiti form the walls of Box Freestone quarry. Due to the location this will have to have limited numbers (sorry no young children). You will be split up into small groups and have a mine explorer/caver to show the way and to ask about what can and should not be scrubbed as some of the writing on the walls date back as far as 1710.
The meeting time will be 0900 and aiming to finish at 1300 you will need to bring a torch/hard hat boiler suit or a change of clothes as you will get dirty. A wire bush will also be needed they can be bought at any diy store.
Gloves will come in hand as there is a short crawl at the entrance and for picking up rubbish.
I shall let you know what will be the max amount of cachers for the day a week before, as I am getting a few people that I go undergound with to help out for the day so I was thinking of a 5 cachers to 1 caver/mine explorer ratio. So it will be on a first come first served basis.
