Geocache Description:

GAGB

The Geocaching Association of Great Britain (GAGB)

invite you to meet the committee and join us for a chat.

Saturday 4th June
12-4pm

Please come and join us at

Dearnford Lake
Tilstock Road, Whitchurch,
Shropshire. SY13 3JQ

This is the first of a series of regular, roving GAGB events. The first few will be organised by GAGB committee members, who plan to invite the wider caching community to organise their own in future - watch this space for announcements. The aim of these events is for cachers old and new to meet the committee, ask any questions and enjoy the surrounding area of the event. .

Dearnford Lake has a lakeside walk and play area to keep visitors active and dog walkers are very welcome but all dogs will need to be on a lead.
The lakeside café serves breakfasts, lunches and afternoon teas. Show your GPS unit to receive a 10% discount in the cafe.
There is plenty of parking onsite.

There are plenty of caches nearby the Geocacher's Trail or the SFE (Something For Everyone) cache series, both are excellent and both have a varied selection of difficulty and terrain with some unusual containers. The nearby Shropshire Union Canal is suitable for wheelchair users or pushchairs. We invite you to bring your boats or canoe to go to the island in Dearnford Lake.

Please bring your swapables and collectables, join in the geochat and enjoy a stroll around the lake.
If you would like to learn more about Geocaching, come and visit our Geocaching help desk and learn the basics of Geocaching.
Come and have a chat with the GAGB committee and find out what we do. We are hoping the weather is kind to us.

When you post a "Will Attend" log, please let us know how many people you expect and how many cars you will be coming in (or who you are sharing with). This will help plan parking arrangements.
Information about the GAGB can be found on this web site.

We look forward to seeing everyone there!
