This geocache is placed in a tree (popular with the local children for climbing) around the edge of Brocksbottom Cricket ground. The cricket field is very attractively located, with pleasant views across fields towards Burrs. The East Lancs railway passes close by and this geocache could be found via a short, but uphill, walk from Summerseat station. Plenty of benches around the pitch for picnics, or during the summer months watching the village cricket at weekends.
Whilst this cache is placed in a tree, you don't need to climb the tree to reach it.
This cache is part of a circut around Summerseat. Which passes an Ice Cream Parlour on the way. The cricket club also often serves refreshments.
