GIFF 2016 • STORY WORTHY MOMENTS

From finding new favorite places, people, and puzzles, geocaching is full of Story Worthy Moments. The trick is to capture them on film. On November 3-7, 2016 thousands of geocachers will take part in a global geocaching movie night. The GIFF 2016 reel will contain an hour of carefully selected finalist films made by geocachers, for geocachers.  This is the Monterey Bay edition of the event.

The Monterey Bay location of the 2016 GIFF will be held at Bethlehem Lutheran Church.  800 Cass Street.  Monterey.  The event will be held from 2-4PM with the short films being shown on a projector in the fellowship/reception hall beginning at 2:30PM.  Folding chairs will be provided as well as popcorn.  You are welcome to bring snacks - for yourself or to share!  The films are no more than four minutes each, so the showing should last about an hour.  Parking is plentiful on Saturday: the church parking lot, streetside parking on Cass St and Dormody Ct and parking under 880 Cass are all available.  Last year, some attendees got caught in traffic on their way to Monterey, so if you are traveling on Hwy 1 or Hwy 101, you may want to come early and spend some time in Monterey before the event, which is located walking distance from downtown and Fisherman's Wharf.
