spaceteacher: Giving up this spot, though it probably shouldn't be selected.
We don't want anyone to enter an area they might feel unsafe.

Look for another K coming soon.

Geocache Description:

Huntsville Alphabetz K - kid friendly city

Our Kid’s 1st Cache was nearby

Geocaching is such a family activity. Our sons have gone caching with us, and EhudMH placed his first cache near here. I also picked this spot to emphasize all the places of worship in town. There are well over 100 churches in town.
First Baptist is celebrating its 200th birthday and Martin Luther King Jr spoke at several churches in the area.

Many other kid friendly activities are nearby. These include: John Hunt Park with soccer fields, tennis courts, cross country running track (through the woods); yearly fair with carnival rides and attractions; and Kids Space playground. They could also visit Southern Adventures for miniature golf, go karts or swimming; swim at the Natatorium or maybe go ice skating. Huntsville Stars’ professional baseball team also plays nearby. There is a quarter midget track, par course walking/jogging track and lots of open space to fly a kite.
