Geocache Description:

This is one in our series of Tuart Forest caches. This forest is quite void of undergrowth so walking throughout the area is pleasant at any time of the year. Otherwise 4WD is recommended.

This is in Tuart Forest National Park with 1080 baits so no cats or dogs are allowed.

The Australian bigfoot creature has its roots in Aboriginal mythology and is common in Aboriginal legends. Throughout Australia it is known in as many different names as there have been sightings.

Examples of Australian bigfoot names include quinkin, joogabinna, jurrawarra, myngawin, puttikan, gubba, doolaga, gulaga and thoolagal, yahoo, yaroma, noocoonah, wawee, pangkarlangu, jimbra and tjangara.

Many people discount the existence of the Australian bigfoot considering it more likely to be a combination of misidentification, folklore and hoax.

BUT, here in this little patch of forest lives our very own Bigfoot. We have seen his footprints, his treasure cave and his hidden tree house. And now you have found the hiding place of his toybox.

Our Bigfoot is friendly and always smiling but he is also very shy so it is unlikely you will actually see him. But HE will be watching YOU so please take care and look after all of his things. You don’t want him to come after you!!
