Celebrating the AZ National Scenic Trail at an annual Rendezvous was a much anticipated weekend at Mormon Lake for many years. This series recalls the camaraderie of building, maintaining and hiking the AZNST! This portion of the Trail once again follows an old railroad bed used by the logging industry.
A small red box holds the log, pen and goodies to gather. It's a beautiful short walk from parking or 542 miles, if you're coming from Mexico on the AZNST. Nearby Pine Grove campground makes a fine weekend base for the Rendezvous Series. Take time to wander and wonder.
