Join us on the fourth Sunday of the month when we combine forces with the Charles Kemp Reserve Bushcare group in trying to eradicate the Mother of Millions (Bryophyllum species) weed.
When: Saturday 23rd June 10 am - 12 noon
Where: Drive to Swallow Reach Place, off Tizzana Road at Ebenezer. Continue down the road until you reach the culdesac. From the parking area, follow the fence line towards the trailhead waypoint and enter the reserve here.
We will be meeting at the posted co-ordinates at 10 am where we will cover a brief safety talk from the Bushcare co-coordinator. You will also need to sign your attendance on the Charles Kemp Recreational Reserve Register as well as signing the official CITO log. If time permits we will take a picture of the group and then the plan is to then tackle some invasive species weed removal within the bushland, with particular emphasis on Mother of Million. The CITO event should last about an hour, with a break for morning tea.
In the area we will be working, the terrain is varied and covers gently sloping areas through to more rocky ledges several feet high. Please work in the areas that you are most comfortable in.
What to Bring: Sun hat, sturdy shoes, long sleeve shirt, long pants, sunscreen, drinking water and gloves.
Please post your 'Will Attend' log if you are able to lend a hand and we look forward to seeing you on the day!
